Over the last few weeks, and the weeks to come we have been re-introducing you to the Bird & Bear Collective. The what, why, where, how and for who. Today I’ll take a minute to reintroduce you to me, Erin, the founder of this space.

Over the next few weeks we reintroducing you to the Bird & Bear Collective. A lot happens here and we have had a pretty wild journey creating this space over the last few years. We just marked 3 years in the downtown location, so we thought it was a good time for a re-introduction!

Hey there, it's me Rosie the Riveter ~ aka Erin the Founder of the Bird & Bear Collective.

You know that the Bird & Bear has roots in our backyard barn, and now takes residence in a historic downtown bank building ~ but on this Monday morning, let me tell you about its roots in a corporate boardroom, also known as the war room.

This weekend we kick-off another photography season at the Bird & Bear. Before we do, I thought I’d take a moment for reflection and gratitude on what has been a 10-year journey of photos at the barn.

Did you know that I went to college with plans to be a lawyer?

Today was my kids’ first day of school, the start of another chapter in their life story of learning and becoming.

While we may not be on the big screen like Barbie and our @uswnt , know that you + me + we are doing some pretty big things Birds & Bears.

It was a few years ago, on this 3rd Monday of July, during a crazy + long-time coming moment of clarity & conviction, I made a decision that was the culmination of a lifetime’s worth of learning & understanding of my purpose and what I’m good at, combined a big brave hope that something was supposed to come of it.
