Our Storybook

Today was my kids’ first day of school, the start of another chapter in their life story of learning and becoming.

The first day of school will always and forever remind me of my personal story of learning and becoming. Beginning with my childhood stories centered on a love for school, friendship and the teachers who were some of my first heroes.

Currently the books & chapters I have the privilege of being a part of as, of the Mama of 3 school aged children. Stories filled with awe & wonder, across these years that most certainly go by way faster than they ever did when we were kids.

And today, a day that has marked the beginning of what has become the Bird & Bear Collective storybook. It was this day a few years ago, the same day that my youngest child stepped onto a school bus and into her school years story, that I stepped out of corporate career story, and into beginning of an entrepreneurship chapter.

Just like the signature book wall at the Bird & Bear, many of my personal pages have torn edges and faded print, telling a cherished journey of learning and becoming. Chapters I often have to read and re-read as I seek to understand the who, what, how, where and why of this life.

And then there are the pages that have yet to be written, in a story we will collectively write together in this new season. I’m grateful to be part of each other’s storybook ~ one filled with adventure, bravery, discovery, love, friendship and dreams that we keep collectively keep dreaming.
