As you look through these snapshots, I think it’s pretty clear why we call this space The Bird & Bear Collective.

Today on Memorial Day we express deep gratitude and remembrance to those who died defending our freedoms with bravery and courage.

Work and why we do what we do means a lot here. We have built a thriving community of entrepreneurs, and I’m excited to reconnect the corporate dots, to create a space for working professionals locally.

From the beginning of April to the middle of May I traveled approximatel 15,000 miles by car, airplane, bus, uber, on foot and in a camper van beneath the northern lights.

It was a nest & rest Mother’s Day weekend in the shop, on the sidelines and at home .. with a SURPRISE explore & soar Mother’s Day gift of flight to visit my daughter in Ireland (leaving tonight).

“Every stitch tells a story, and so does every number.” This beautiful intersection of career and craft launching together after a 20+ year in corporate accounting is rooted in storytelling and a clarity of passion and purpose.

This weekend as we sat on our new blue couch and watched on TV what began at this home, I lifted my coffee cup in gratitude for what’s been and renewed hope for what is still to come.

As we stepped into January, worried and weary, for a world that feels heavier and more divided by the day, I contemplated a 2026 “Word of the Year” that I hoped might capture our collective sentiment and hope for the year ahead.
