Join Margaret Aldrich, The Traveling Seamstress, for a mini-workshop focused on hand-sewing techniques for garment repair. This session will cover essential skills, including basic hand stitching, darning, and patchwork, to help you maintain your favorite clothing items.
Participants are invited to bring one or two personal items to work on during the workshop. All necessary supplies, including needles, pins, scissors, assorted buttons, and fabric scraps will be provided. If you require a specific thread color or a particular type of patch for your project, please let Margaret know in advance or bring it with you to the session.
With over 20 years of professional experience, Margaret provides high-quality garment solutions ranging from simple adjustments to complex redesigns for both everyday and formal wear.
“With fast fashion garments being produced quickly and cheaply nowadays, mending our clothes has become more important than ever. I am looking forward to teaching participants a few basic hand stitches so they can repair their garments and add some personal flair.” {Margaret Aldrich}
